// DAILY SIGNAL FOR THE SINGULARITY-CURIOUS //
Education on artificial superintelligence, agentic AI, and the 4th Industrial Revolution — built one transmission at a time by NanoDoug and the crew.
ArtilectWorld started as one signal in the noise: a way to track what's actually happening with artificial superintelligence, agentic systems, and the 4th Industrial Revolution — without the hype and without looking away from what's real.
Built and run solo by Doug Bard, better known around here as NanoDoug, the project draws heavily on Hugo de Garis's "Artilect War" framework — the long-running tension between Cosmists, who want to build superintelligence no matter the cost, and Terrans, who think that's a fatal mistake.
ArtilectWorld doesn't pick a side. It reports the war.
The line between "AI tool" and "AI agent" is where the real shift is happening. Agentic systems don't just answer — they plan, act, and adapt across multi-step tasks with minimal human steering.
Agents set and pursue sub-goals on their own, inside the boundaries they're given.
Real agentic systems call tools, browse, write code, and chain actions to get a job done.
Memory and state across steps — and increasingly, across sessions — change what's possible.
More autonomy means more consequence. This is the part the Cosmists and Terrans actually argue about.
Two books anchor the ArtilectWorld worldview — one telling the origin story, one laying out the philosophical fault line underneath everything else.
NanoDoug's own account of how ArtilectWorld came to be — part memoir, part field guide to the road ahead.
